Famously known as the big three, Lake Muskoka, Lake Rosseau and Lake Joseph are the true gems in Muskoka. Known for their picturesque landscapes, stunning lake views and charming communities it’s these lakes that made Muskoka what it is today.

Lake Muskoka is located between Port Carling and Gravenhurst with Bala on the southwest shores. Offering easy access to amenities and restaurants such as Bala Falls Pub, The Moon River Lookout, and Lakeside Bala. Also home to Touchstone and Taboo resorts, the lake is full of life!
Lake Rosseau connects to Lake Muskoka through the locks in Port Carling and moves into Lake Joseph through Port Sandfield with the charming village of Rosseau at its northern tip. Possibly the most popular of the Three Lakes, Rosseau is right in the heart of Muskoka booming with amenities and attractions for all. Spend a day at Cleveland’s House, complete with kid’s programs, a golf course and water ski shows. Or visit the market in Port Sandfield. Or have a nice dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area such as Turtle Jacks, Richwell’s, or Knead Pizza the options are endless.
Lake Joseph is surrounded by all the activities you can think of from Horseback riding to the renowned Lake Joseph Golf Club. The Lake is also very well known for its fishing opportunities, famous for lake trout, walleye and whitefish and combined with its calm waters make it a fisher’s dream.
Deep water, sandy beaches, and secluded bays are all options on the Big Three complete with some of the most unique and stunning architecture in both big and small cottages. There is no comparable to the opportunities on these lakes.
