Shirley Rule, Broker
With over 15 years of experience focusing on waterfront properties, Shirley has been a cottager in this area since the mid-1960’s and moved here permanently in 2003. She met her husband Ted while staying at Kennisis Lake. They bought their first cottage on Little Redstone in 1969 and built their retirement home in the late 90’s. Shirley became a Real Estate Salesperson in 2005 and a Broker in 2012. Working in real estate works well with Ted’s “retirement” professions (professional engineering consultant and running a cottage rental business). Moving frequently as a military wife, Shirley has always had a keen interest in the real estate market, so it was a natural progression for her to go into real estate after careers in teaching, banking and working for Passport Canada. Married for 50 years Shirley and Ted are blessed with 4 wonderful children and 8 awesome grandchildren, all of whom have adopted the Haliburton area as their home away from home!
