Well, some long awaited inventory is finally starting to appear with 39 new waterfront listings…
Haliburton County Real Estate Market August Update
No inventory in August!
This month the Haliburton Real Estate Market saw a major shortage of inventory! With a combined total of 87 units sold the Market was down 40 homes and cottages from 2020. With lots of eager buyers still in play waterfront properties were selling in an average of 9 days at 109% of asking price.
While we were still seeing many bidding wars with multiple offers and most properties being listed with an offer date, we did see more properties sit on the market for longer periods of time. With an average time of 26 days in the residential properties and selling on average right at asking price we are left to believe some things might be starting to slow down.
Prices are holding steady August saw waterfront properties sell for an average of almost $850,000 11% higher than in 2020 and residential properties came in at an average of just over $440,000 up 28% from last summer.
We project that September will be a great month to sell as the market still struggles with a lack of inventory for the number of buyers! If you are thinking of selling your home or cottage in Haliburton or Muskoka contact Team Cottage Country today!
